I've a brand new Dell lattitude with a Dell wireless Bluetooth Card. I've downloded the driver module recommended by the Dell driver support webpage when I supplied my Sevice Tag. DW Software release Customer installer Version 6.

I was able to install the driver by manually picking it from the list. I then thought, since it is working, I should be able to update it. The Dell Install File would still not install any driver files or update the driver, even though it said it was complete. Here is the link to the CAB file for those who might be interested. I am having the same issue. I have a new M, running Windows 7 Enterprise Bit. The module still does not work after this. I tried following your last steps, but neithr of those files exist on my system after running the installation programs. There seem to be numerous people with this issue upon doing various Google searches.
Do you have a workable solution? I would really like to get my new workstation docked and be able to use my Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, by I cannot because it will not install the module.
I was able to connect a BT mouse, that worked for about 15 seconds before it stopped. Then when I tried to connect my keyboard, it found, connected, then disappeared within 5 seconds. When I tried to connect to it a second time, I got the blue screen of death. I uninstalled the ALPS driver after that. When I first got this laptop I paired both of these mice just fine. Then out of the blue they stopped working.
I was able to remove them and re-pair them a few times, but now they won't complete the pair. When I try to add the mice they show up, and I get the balloon that the driver installed successfully. I see the HID-compliant Mouse in Device Manager appear and disappear a few times while the blue light on the mouse continues to flash. Eventually the HID-compliant Mouse disappears for good and the blue light continues to flash for a few more seconds and then the mouse eventually gives up.
This is a work laptop and it's the second one I have had that showed this issue the first one was already returned to Dell.
To make matters worse, most of them are trying to use Dell re branded peripherals. Fix it. I uninstalled driver v6. Things have been working today. Who know if I will need to do this again at some point.

Uninstall Bluetooth drivers from Device manager windows 8 : From the Start screen, swipe up and tap the All apps icon. If you have a mouse, right-click on the Start screen and then click All apps. Once on the Apps screen, scroll or swipe to the right until you see the Windows System heading.
Tap or click on Control Panel, located under Windows System. Windows 8 will bring up the Desktop and automatically open the Control Panel. Tap or click on the Hardware and Sound link. This is the driver module I have been trying to install but it fails every time. Note there is no Bluetooth menu item listed in my Device Manager.
